It was another awesome organization put up by MTN, the major sponsor of the FA Cup competition and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at the University of Ghana (UG) Stadium, Legon in Accra.
From the gate, security was well coordinated by the Ghana Police and the Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Mr. John Asnah.
On entering, Mr Wilson Arthur, the Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, and his members, like Frank Nelson, were spotted busily giving orders for things to get in shape.
The GFA General Secretary, Mr. Prosper Harrison Addo, was also at the right places at the right times ensuring that the event was successful.
Statistician of the GFA, Shaban Mohammed, was also visible, making sure he is able to get all the figures right on point.
Sheila Sorinye, Community Relations Advisor at MTN Ghana, was also coordinating well and making sure people were enjoying the excitement.
The media cannot miss such a final where history was about to be made by the actors of the game – the bloggers, photographers, online, print, television, and radio; sports journalists were present.
The field of play decoration was magnificent, from the opening ceremony to the closing, after medals were awarded and the trophy handed to Nations FC, the eventual historic winners of the 2025/2026 edition of the MTN FA Cup.
Most of the time, there are no electronic pitch panels during football matches, but trust MTN to provide them to beautify the match venue on such an occasion.
The entry of the trophy was superb and marvelous, with strong bodybuilders (Machomen) ushering and creating a sense of security and protection in a fashionable style.
The Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association must be commended for adding that touch of regal power to the occasion
Spectatoring was cool, as the fans enjoyed the game. It is a fact that Dreams and Nations do not command the support base like Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko; however, people who love football came to support and had a lot of fun.
Members of the Ghana Supporters Union were ever present in their red, yellow, and green outfits, and they jammed the Legon Stadium.
Officiating was above average, and the players did their best to draw at the end of ninety minutes and decide the winner by the lottery of penalties.
For the record, Nations FC are the winners of the 2026 edition of the MTN FA Cup.
