Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) Presidential Aspirant Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe meets the sporting press

Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) Presidential Aspirant, Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe, today met the press at his office in Accra to offer them the opportunity to ask him questions on why he intends to come on board to lead.

According to Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe, aka IBC, he is coming for the betterment of Ghana Boxing to bring discipline, transparency, and accountability.

“I want to take Ghana Boxing to the next level in the new era where we can produce more world champions and make Ghana the preferred boxing destination in Africa,” he said.

He also wants to spread boxing nationwide, not only in Accra but to the 16 regions, so that more people get involved to take part or support.

He wants the nation to have credibility in national champions and will get them rated on all world boxing bodies, especially the Commonwealth ratings.

He intends to support coaches and retired boxers by liaising with the National Sports Authority to become scouts or regional trainers to groom boxers in the districts.

Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe is keen on qualified health and safety protocols and will ensure boxers’ safe health and welfare so that they are well-fed and on time.

He promised to unite the boxing front if it is fragmented.

Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe has promised something special in his first 100 days in office; he does not want to lay out all the things he intends to do for Ghana Boxing.

He plans to resign his position at Cabic Promotions to concentrate fully on helping Ghana.

He believes the media has a role to play and thanked all media personalities who love and share his vision.

On June 4th 2026, Ghana Boxing Authority goes to the polls, and Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe is the obvious choice for President.

“I am very confident and optimistic of winning because when I say I am running, I put in everything and run my best to win,” he told Yours Truly.

Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe is CEO of Travel Matters, Idrowhyt Events Centre, and a great stakeholder and investor in Ghana Boxing. He has a world-class boxing gym and manages many boxers.

Some veteran boxing gurus were at the meet the press to pledge their support.
