Ga people have boxing in their blood – 15 year old blogger, Michael Nii Addo Pappoe

15-year-old boxing blogger, Michael Nii Addo Pappoe, says no one can come from Koforidua or Kumasi to beat a boxer born and bred at Jamestown or Bukom because boxing is in the blood of the Ga people.

Speaking on Omashi TV, he appealed to the government to support the people who love boxing because it is a business, entertainment, and culture.

“We the people of Accra have boxing in our blood, so we don’t fear to fight, we are warriors and fighters, and we have the strategies, skill, strength, stamina, and talent to fight,” he said.

However, he is not a boxer, because he tried to train in a gym and it was very tough for him, so he decided to contribute to boxing in his community by posting videos and pictures of boxers, coaches, and anything about boxing, as well as entertainment stuff.

“If you can see, I don’t post anything violent, because we, the people of Jamestown, love fighting but not violence, we see boxing as a business and sport that can take people far and even change their destiny.”

He is a student of Accra Royal Junior High School, and his parents love what he is doing as a blogger.

He named Jamestown TV and Omashi TV as where he got the inspiration from to blog, and so far it has been good, as he has many followers who love what he is doing. “I just love the media work, I think it is my talent, note, not” he stressed.

Michael has encouraged other young guys who also blog with other celebrities.

He congratulated the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) on the recent Individual Amateur Championship and hoped they would organize more to keep the boxers in shape.

He also advised fans who come to the Boxing Arena to create problems to put a spot and urged promoters to put in perfect and strict security measures to avoid violence.

Michael Nii Addo Pappoe said the future of Ghanaian boxing is always bright because the people already love the sport, and kids also love it.

He expressed that combining education and sports is the best thing to do, so every young boxer must go to school.

From the Junior High School, he wants to move straight to a media institute to continue his studies and master his craft.

His wish is for Ghana to get a world boxing champion, and his tips are Theophilus ‘Lopez’ Allotey, Joseph ‘Jaguar’ Comme,y and Jonathan Tetteh aka ‘Worldwide’.

On the amateur side, he thinks all the boxers who got gold and silver at the Individual Championship are very good and prayed that they go to the Commonwealth Games and come home with gold, silver, and bronze medals.
