Boxing talent continues to blossom, and more discoveries are coming up, like Ebenezer Kolebe, a product of PKO who trains at the Seconds Out Gym in Accra.
Born and bred in the densely populated Ga Mashie area referred to as Gbese, he learnt the art of boxing as he grew because the sport and business of boxing is a culture in Bukom.
Ebenezer Kolebe is in a class of his own and sees himself as a champion without a crown, and believes the titles will drop at the appropriate times. He was a member of the national youth team, the Black Rockets, before turning pro.
The 22 years old Bantamweight boxer loves to be called ‘The Ring Master’. He has a record of 3 knockout wins and one draw.
He is one of the young boxers managed by PKO Boxing, and he is not in a rush to become a champion because he already feels like a royal.
Kolebe is one of the stars featuring on the Homowo FightFest at the Abelemkpe School Park on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and he has asked Ghanaians who love good boxing to come and watch. He faces Isaac Aryeetey, who is another tough opponent.
He thinks taking the sport to other places outside Bukom is ideal in boxing, as it is popular and attractive.
He thanked the trainers at Seconds Out and promised to display what he has been taught by coaches Darko Rickkets, Joseph Martey and Daniel Aryee Quaye aka ‘Danny’.
He also expressed gratitude to the PKO Group and Foundation for their support and motivation.
“I am most grateful to Dr. Osei and all the staff who inspire me, as well as my gym mates for their cooperation, and especially my trainers. God richly bless them,” he said.
