Mr. Ellis Quaye, an Accra and UK-based businessman, boxing manager, and promoter, presented his filing papers to the IMC of Ghana Boxing on Tuesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

They have managed and promoted some boxers on the local stage to the international level, like Patrick Allotey, who fought for a world title.
“We have worked in Ghana, the UK, and the USA and know what the people want; we want to deliver the best for Ghana Boxing,” he said.
According to Mr. Ellis Quaye, he decided to contest to give Ghana Boxing a new identity and image, as well as instill discipline among officials and fans.
He said Ghana needs real professional boxing administrators and experienced but new people to take the game to the next level.
He noted that after the ban or halt of boxing activities following the deaths of Nigerian and Ghanaian boxers, things must be done right.
He supported the bid of Ivan Bruce Cudjoe and urged all delegates to vote wisely to put Ghana Boxing where it really belonged.
Mr. Quaye is going up against Moshud Zaid and Dave Bishop, both managers/promoters.
