Black Queens target LA Olympic Games 2028 qualification

The Black Queens of Ghana have never qualified for the Olympic Games, and this time around, the players and Ghana Football Association (GFA) are planning to change the status quo and make sure they are part of the world’s biggest sports festival.

According to the fixtures released, Ghana will start their qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games with their first match against Mauritius or Djibouti in the second round.

The draw was held on Wednesday, and the Black Queens drew a bye to play in the second round.

The current Ghana female team is in good form with players who are determined to make history and get their names in the good books of African Football.

The Black Queens did quite well at the last Women’s AFCON in Morocco, and if they can continue with their splendid form, they can qualify.

Currently, the players are playing their trades with foreign-based clubs, who are giving them the exposure and opportunity.

According to Ms.Matilda Dimedo of the Ghana Football Association, this is the right time for the Black Queens to make history, and she is very hopeful that they will make it.

35 nations entered the draw for the two slots of qualification for the African teams.
