Ambitious Bukom Tilapia Inspires Ga Mashie XI To Beat Nungua XI At 2026 Duku Football Festival

Inspiring Abubakar Kamoko was at his inspiring best on Wednesday at the Osu Presby SHS Park when he motivated the Ga Mashie team to beat Nungua XI in both male and female matches.

The undefeated cruiserweight boxer said he is always ready to support his people in anything they do.

According to Kamoko, the people of Accra, especially those living in Jamestown, Bukom, Akoto Lante, Gbese, normally referred to as Ga Mashie, are blessed with sporting talent.

“We are great people in Ga Mashie because we have given Ghana many world boxing champions and our footballers, hockey players and table tennis players are also super,” he told Yours Truly in an exclusive chat.

He said the match against Nungua was not all that tough, but they won and are not complacent, because other communities will come with bigger challenges.

Tilapia commended his football players and coaches who carried the day.

The female team led by Kaka won by two nil, while the male won on penalties against a stubborn youthful Nungua side.

The Duku Football Festival continues with Nima against Teshie, Mayera versus Adabraka and Osu versus La during the week. The final has been fixed for August 8, 2026.
