Black Stars coach resigns

The head coach of Ghana’s Black Stars, Carlos Queiroz, has resigned after the team was knocked out of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Queiroz stepped down shortly after Ghana lost 1–0 to Colombia in the Round of 32. He had been in charge of the team since April 2026 and helped the Black Stars reach the knockout stage. However, the team could not move into the quarter-finals.

The coach thanked the players, the technical team, and the Ghana Football Association for their support during his time in charge.

Football fans are now waiting for the Ghana Football Association to name a new coach for the team.

The Black Stars will now prepare for future competitions under new leadership.
