President of the Ghana Boxing Federation, Dauda Fusen, has assured boxing fans of fair officiating and maximum security at the upcoming 2026 National Individual Boxing Championship coming up at the Ga Mashie Hall of the Bukom Boxing Arena, aka Trust Sports Emporium.
The GBF on Thursday, January 29, held a stakeholders engagement, balloting, and press briefing at The Gym in Accra to make known their preparations and plans ahead of the Championship.
Dauda Fuseni said this is a new era and new administration, and “we want to see new things”.
He said the new GBF will be transparent and offer chances to boxers to showcase their talent, and urged the regions to elect new leaders, as there would be intensive involvement of the regions in the regional integration plan.
He advised boxers to dress decently for the event and show discipline.
Experienced Coach Dr. Ofori Asare advised that Ghana Boxing needs to be clean to be attractive and urged stakeholders to be committed and prepared to show up.
He expressed that sports are not always about winning, so those who may not win but show great potential would be selected.
He prayed that every stakeholder would contribute effectively to the Championship.
