Adumasa in the Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region are living in fear following an armed robbery attack on gold buyers in the area, which occurred on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, leaving six residents with gunshot injuries.
Hon. Agyapong Andrews, the Assembly Member for the area, said the armed robbers, who were on a motorbike, made away with gold, a gold machine, and money. he disclosed that the robbers fired their guns indiscriminately in the community, causing residents to flee for their lives.
In a bold move, a brave taxi driver encountered the robbers and struck them with his car. Although there were three robbers in total, the taxi driver’s actions resulted in the arrest of two of them. The incident has shocked residents, many of whom are now calling for enhanced security measures to prevent similar attacks in the future. The police have stated that investigations are ongoing to capture the remaining suspect.
