Accra, 21 September 2026: Police Cycling Team’s AKPABLI Victor Cudjoe has written his name in gold, winning the 2026 Osagyefo Criterium in grand style with a daring solo breakaway.
On the challenging University Farm Road (Borteyman) circuit, the Elite Men battled over 113 kilometers – 10 grueling laps – at a blistering average speed of 37.120 km/h, the fastest race of the day.
While all eyes were on the big guns in the peloton, Cudjoe, Bib 56, launched a brave attack and never looked back. He crossed the line in 3:02:39.00, a massive 2 minutes 18 seconds ahead of the chasing bunch. A victory of courage, tactics and pure power.

The big names – Solomon Tagoe, Frank Akuffo, Emmanuel Sesi, Prince Quaye, Prince Maison, Michael Naaba, Francis Owusu – were all locked in the peloton, watching each other. That hesitation was all Victor Cudjoe needed.
We must also salute Obinna Saint Jude of Nigeria. From Subsea Cycling Club, he was in every move and was the engine that pushed the peloton at high speed.
The Osagyefo Criterium, headline sponsored by EMOTO Powering Progress, lived up to its motto: More Than a Race, A Legacy. Champions Today, Stronger Tomorrow.
The Osagyefo Criterium is a legacy ride in honour of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, celebrating his vision of unity, strength and endurance.
