Nations FC to face Dreams FC in 2026 MTN FA Cup Final

Nations FC edged past Aduana FC 1- 0 on Friday to reach their first-ever MTN FA Cup final. It was a surprise victory at the Swedru Stadium, where many football pundits did not expect the win to come very early in the 8th minute by striker Emmanuel Annor.

Dreams FC also prepared well and got another bite of the MTN FA Cup final with a 3-2 win on Saturday over Medeama, who did not parade most of their popular players. However, John Antwi, Kevin Ahiable, Suraj Seidu, and the ‘Still Believe’ Dream boys went all out blazing cylinders. Their trainer, Winfred Dormon, was very glad for the feat and congratulated his players for their commitment.

Coach Ibrahiim Tanko of Medeama, who has the Premier League title in his focus, afforded to rest some of his stars and gave opportunities to others who have not featured much in matches.

For Nations FC, their skipper, Razak Simpson, feels they have worked hard this season and deserve to win a trophy to show. He noted that his colleagues have to prove and sustain the investment of their club chairman and founder, Dr. Kyei, who has his own stadium, hotel, petrol filling stations (Unity Oil), and other facilities for the club.

Qualifying for the final of the MTN FACup for the first time is a great achievement for Nations FC, and they hope to deliver at the end of May 2026 and represent Ghana in Africa.

Dreams FC have been winners before in the 2022 / 23 season when they represented Ghana in the African Confederations Cup Competition. Certainly, they want to go again, making the final a real battle.

The MTN FA Cup is a prestigious tournament sponsored by telecom giants, MTN Ghana.
