Michael Tagoe targets the National Super Featherweight title

Michael Tagoe, who has a real record of 13 fights with 7 wins, 5 defeats, and 1 draw, believes he is ripe for the Ghana National Super Featherweight crown.

Speaking on Omashi TV last Friday, the boxer hinted that his time to become a title holder is due.

He noted that after experiencing and feeling the sports with tough fights against Michael Abban and Charles Tetteh. Daniel Gorsh and Benjamin Lamptey, aka Daddy Lumba, whom he drew, he feels he has come of age, and this year would be ideal to fight for the national title.

“I gave all these local champions the opportunity when others feared to fight”

“I know this is my year to win the title, and I am fully prepared and ready to take on any opponent,” he expressed.

Training at the Seconds Out Gym under Coaches Darko Rickets and Joseph Martey has really given him much knowledge and technical exposure as he has learnt a lot and sparred with very good boxers, most of them heavier than him, but he matched them blow for blow and punch for punch.

Tagoe announced and introduced his new management team led by Mr. Eugene Lamptey.

The team, which is forming a Promotions outfit to support him with support from the La Farmacia Lounge and Sports Bar, is optimistic he will shine.

Baron, a member of the team, said Tagoe is very disciplined and loves training, which is why they are supporting him.

Eugene Lamptey expressed that “Tagoe has proved to be disciplined, dedicated and committed to boxing, he needs our support, and we will aid him to realise his dream”.

Meanwhile, the new La Farmacia Promotions, which is coming up, will be involved in other traditional sports like Snooker, Football, Oware, Chess, Boxing, and Ludu.
