Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe files nomination to contest Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) presidential position

Mr. Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe, aka ‘IBC’, has on Monday afternoon presented his nomination papers to the secretariat of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) as he intends to become the next President.

He was accompanied by his friend and business partner, Ellis Quay, also a director of Cabic Promotions, who is contesting for the Second Vice President position; Gideon K. Oyiadzo aka ‘Jingles’, who is going for the Executive Board Member position, just like Mr. Johnny Gordon.

They were welcomed to the Bukom Boxing Arena, which houses the GBA Secretariat, by an enthusiastic and passionate singing crowd of boxers and boxing fans.

Team IBC, as they are known for this year’s elections, presented their nominations file, which was received by Acting Secretary of the GBA Ms. Mimi Brown, who is also Deputy PRO.

The President of the GBA, Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye, who was present, informed that the delegates’ list was not ready as the Executive Board was at a meeting to discuss and prepare the list by the close of the day.

Though Mr. Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe was not happy with what the President of the GBA said concerning the delegates’ list, he showed concern and prayed that Mr. Neequay would honour the promise.

Once in a long while, the GBA Executive Board constituted a full house as all the members were present to deliberate on the upcoming Congress / Elections.

The fans and supporters following Ivan Bruce Cudjoe chanted victory songs and were sure that he would win on July 12, 2025.

Mr. Jingles, who was not happy with the issue of the delegates’ list, suspected foul play and hoped that the list would not be subverted.

Meanwhile, reports reaching Yours Truly indicate that only three people have collected nomination forms to contest for the President’s position.

The positions to be contested are President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Treasurer, and Executive Members.
