
Members of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), including boxers, coaches, managers, promoters, and aspiring candidates for the much-talked-about Elections 2026, gathered over the weekend to pay last respect to former WBC International Champion Michael Ebo Danquah.
The wake, funeral service, and burial were held on Friday and Saturday, while the final memorial on Sunday was at Chorkor.
Coach Augustus Dodoo of Bukom and Charger organised some boxers to thrill fans in a boxing exhibition, while Alex Ntiamoah Boakye supervised that everything went well.
Among the notable personalities were Yoofi Boham. Azumah Nelson, Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe, Ernest Ofori, Roger Barnor, and others.
Ebo Danquah was one of the boxers who made a name for the Chorkor and Mamprobi area, like Azumah Nelson. He was crafty and a disciplined boxer.
