Gas Man urges Black Stars to back up and score more goals to make Ghanaians happy

Mr. Emmanuel Olla Williams, aka the ‘Gas Man’ – Ghana Ambassador of Sports, has urged the Black Stars to improve upon their performance as they compete at the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

After the Croatia game, the sad Williams said the best score should have been a draw.

He expressed that the World Cup is an opportunity for Ghana to improve in the FIFA ranking and also to expose its players.

According to Olla Williams, who was the former Youth Coordinator of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Ghana always has talent, and the big stage has been set for players like Jonas Adjetey,  Jerome Opoku,  Fatawu Issahaku, Marvin Senaya, Benjamin Asare, and others.

He praised Coach Carlos Queiroz and the team, but believes they can do better.

He thinks the players must have personal goals and be daring and adventurous to exploit even areas where the coach has not touched, and move into the opponent’s box and try to score.

“Football is all about goals, and that should be the focus and mentality,” he said.

He hoped Ghana would beat Colombia and move to the 1/16th and on to the semi-finals.

“This is Africa’s time to shine again. Morocco did it, we can also be better,” he said.

The GAS Man has been involved in many educational events, especially sports and science.

He has been working with secondary and tertiary institutions most of the time, so he knows the youth are behind the Black Stars and want to jubilate after every game.

He has, of late, gone into branding and production of special Black Stars World Cup tee shirts for football fans.

“We have to get ready to celebrate because in football, anything can happen.
