Seth Gyimah, aka Freezy Macbones, the new WBO Africa Light Heavyweight Champion, has paid a special visit to the former vice president and flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on his 63rd birthday to present his title, which he won in Nigeria after beating Godday Appa by a majority decision.
Macbones had earlier visited his hometown in the Ashanti Region to celebrate the victory with his family and friends.
The Europe-based boxer, married to a French woman with two kids, has worked hard to reach the top.
He started boxing at 27 after facing many difficulties and challenges in different occupations, including mason, chef, and more.
He was invited to the Black Bombers team to prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but he could not qualify and turned pro.
Now, at 37 years old, he is one of the oldest boxing champions and is looking forward to winning the world title.
