The National Football Team, The Black Stars, have outdone the Ananse brand jersey in the USA, manufactured by Puma, and definitely, fans and critics will love to ask questions about the design, why, and how?.
Ghanaians love the Black Stars and want to know more.
However, we know that Ananse (or Anansi) is the legendary spider-trickster from Akan folklore in Ghana. Known for his wit, cunning, and mischievousness, he is the central figure in traditional West African tales used to explain nature, share moral lessons, and celebrate how the clever outsmart the powerful.
Ananse’s tales are not just about cleverness; they often serve as cautionary tales. His defining characteristics have heavily influenced culture well beyond West Africa.
So in a nutshell, the Black Stars must be like Ananse: clever, witty, cunning, worrisome. winsome, grounded, strong, and powerful.
All will depend on Coach Carlos Queiroz’s selection and the players’ character and charisma.
Let Ghana believe in the stars of Africa, and they will deliver. Good luck to the Spidermen.
But unfortunately, Ghana will not use the white spider jersey in the group stage matches.
Let’s see what will happen if Ghana qualifies from the group stage.
