
The Ga Traditional Council officially lifted the ban on drumming and noise-making today, June 12, 2025, at Gbese Blohum and the Ga Paramount Stool House at Abola, Ussher Fort.
The ban, which began on May 12, marked a period of prayers, spiritual cleansing, of the gods for the Ga people. The lifting of the ban signifies the end of this period and the beginning of the Homowo festival season.
