Parliament has a select committee on Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs that has embarked on a three-day familiarization visit to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and its agencies.
The agency held its first meeting at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture with Sector Minister Eric Opoku and Deputy Minister John Dumel. They briefed the committee on the ministry’s operations, including plans for the Feed Ghana program, which focuses primarily on irrigation agriculture.
They also discussed the resilience and potential of the West African food system.
