Holy ‘The Jaw Breaker’ Dorgbetor and Shakul Samed have left Accra for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the Riyadh Season boxing event of the 2025 World Boxing Council (WBC) this weekend.
Holy was backed by a very tough technical team led by Charles Quartey, including his trainer, Laryea, aka Coach Lion. He is managed by Ace Power Promotions, which has given him the hope and motivation to go all out.
Holy Dorgbetor will face Muhamet Qamili of Albania, who is fighting for Italy in the featherweight round of 16 of the maiden World Boxing Council WBC Boxing Grand Prix on Saturday, June 21.
Shakul Samed, who was reinstated following a successful protest after doing well in his first bout, will also feature.
He made the weight for a middleweight round of 16 clash against Australia’s Jude Grant (8-0, 2 KOs) on Friday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The WBC Grand Prix is a special tournament for budding champions with medals, trophies, and cash prizes at stake.
