Jacob Dickson faces a real career test at home against Andrew Tabiti.
Ghana’s former Cruiserweight Champion Jacob Dickson, 27, will face a test of his career at home before his fans when he takes 35-year-old American Adams Tabiti on Friday, 13 June at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
Tahiti comes with a record of 21-2-0, while Dickson is 14-1-0, and they are fighting for the WBC Africa Bantamweight title. Both have the same nickname, ‘The Beast ‘, with 13 and 17 knockouts, respectively.
The exciting bill which also features Theophilus ‘Lopez’ Allotey versus Daniel Selassie Gorsh aka ‘The Emperor ‘ for his WBO Africa Bantamweight Title and the National Cruiserweight Championship between Haruna Mohammed of the Wisdom Boxing Gym and Fit Square’s Abdula Ahmed is being promoted by Legacy Rise Sports headed by Sharaf Mahama, son of President John Dramani Mahama.
Crowd puller, Abubakar Kamoko aka Bukom Tilapia, will take on Stephen Akrong, while the Lartey brothers, Jerry and Jessie, will display against tough opponents.
Mubarak Nanor, aka America, the matchmaker, said the pairings were specially made to present good and best boxing.
“We specifically selected the boxers to give fans a good show with titles at stake,” he said.
He informed that fans who want to watch live at the Arena must get wristbands from the office of the Ghana Boxing Authority on Monday, 9th June.
He added that security will be tight on the fight night.
