Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin visited Dr. Ernest Addison, the former Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), on Wednesday after a raid on his residence in Roman Ridge, Accra, allegedly conducted by the National Security.
The raid occurred on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, conducted by armed men. The operation was reportedly overseen by the Director of Special Operations at the National Security Secretariat.
This is the second raid reportedly conducted by the National Security on former high-ranking officials from the previous administration since President John Mahama took office on January 7, 2025. The first raid occurred on Monday, February 10, 2025, when armed men stormed the residence of Ken Ofori-Atta, the former Finance Minister, in Labone, Accra.
