The General Manager of Medivents Consult, Mr. Senyo, was on Omashi Sports to promote the event at the final stage, with three days to go.
He said the upcoming Tampico Accra Inter-City Marathon is an all-inclusive race for everyone on Saturday, October 10, starting and ending at the Bukom Boxing Arena at 5:30 a.m.
“Every lover of sports is invited. We are promoting healthy living and the opportunity to link up and make more friends and create partnerships,” he expressed.
The competition’s events are 5km for individuals, families, and friends and 21km for elite athletes and para athletes, as well as skaters.
Mr. Napoleon Gagba, General Manager of Omashi Media, said he was interested in running and covering the full distance as well as engaging the general public who love running. He assured that Omashi TV will telecast live on television and social media.
The Tampico Accra Inter-City Marathon also boasts tourism, as people from different countries try to participate and win.
The organisers, Medivents Consult, and headline sponsor, Tampico, have put at stake fantastic prizes for the ultimate winners: GHS18,000 each for male and female, including an opportunity to represent Ghana at an international marathon in Morocco. Last year, the winner went to South Africa.
At the time of filing this report, participants were busy collecting their running vests by Capelli at the Bukom Boxing Arena, aka Trust Sports Emporium.
