Mr. Yaw Ampofo-Ankrah, Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), will, on Tuesday, August 18, launch the 2026 Tampico Accra Inter-City Marathon, scheduled for Zimansky Hotel, Roman Ridge.
Mr. Ampofo-Ankrah will join a list of sports personalities, former champions, the media and sponsors for the launch, which is expected to formally announce details of the event.
Mr. Henri Senyo Penni, General Manager of Medivents Consult, the organisers of the race, announced this on Monday, ahead of the launch.
Other dignitaries expected are: the Chief Director of the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council, Directors of Sports of the various security agencies, former champions and sponsors.
The Tampico Accra Inter-City Marathon will be held on Saturday, October 10, at the Trust Sports Emporium (Bukom Boxing Arena).
Participants can dial *320*21# and pay a registration fee of GHC100 to register for the 21-kilometer and 5-kilometer categories.
