CK Akunnor and his Ghanaian assistant Bismark Kobi-Mensah were heroes at Gor Mahia as they lifted the 2026 Kenyan Premier League trophy after guiding the team to glory alongside an able Ghanaian backroom staff and 4 outfield players in the team; assistant coach, goalkeepers coach, video analyst, and an assistant trainer.

The midfielder then took a bold step, joining Gor Mahia in Kenya. Fast forward to the 2025/26 season, and Morrison has played a key role in leading Gor Mahia to the league title, while also winning the Most Valuable Player and Midfielder of the Season awards.
