Signed, Sealed & Delivered – The Re-Match Between Worldwide And Freezy Macbones Fixed For August 4

It is now set that Jonathan ‘Worldwide’ Tetteh and Freezy Macbones will give boxing fans another showdown after the two boxers agreed to the rematch, tentatively slated for August 4, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The public Signing was held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Independence Arc Gardens, Accra, at 3:30 pm, and it attracted several die-hard boxing fans, most of them supporters and fans of Jonathan Tetteh, who took the opportunity to display his two belts on the streets of Accra.

For Seth Gyima,h aka Freezy Macbones, he has been looking forward to avenging the painful defeat at the Legon Stadium last December, and all his focus is on the WBA Africa title held by Tetteh.

“Kumasi will be my turn, and I am going to win at all costs to honour my people so that they know that boxing is for everyone in Ghana, hana not only for Accra or Ga people,” he told Yours Truly at the Independence Arch Gardens.

According to Freezy Macbones, his opponent, who is the champion, asked for 25 million Cedis before his will fight, and the promoters have enticed him to sign for the amount.

Freezy said, “He asked for that huge amount, and he has got it, but I am going for the African Light Heavyweight title because I need it badly,” he expressed.

Worldwide also replied that the rematch will be very easy because he knows Freezy’s size and will not let him end the round.ds “I will knock him simply in the rematch, Freezy is not a boxer,” he stressed.

Mr. Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, CEO of tried and tested Box Office Sports Promotions, and Dr. Botchway’s new RBS Promotions, who are organizing the bout, said it would be tough, but they will try to attract some sponsors and make it happen.
