Bahubali burial date scheduled for December 6

The burial of the late, popular boxer, Ernest Akushey, aka Bahubali, has been scheduled for December 5, 6, and 7 at Chorkor Tea Garden.

Promoter of his last bout, Mr. Eddie Coleman of SEM Promotion, confirmed it over the weekend.

According to Coleman, the late Bahubali may not be the best or most exciting boxer, but he has proved to be one of the most admired boxers, and he must get a fitting burial.

He advised and cautioned all mourners to behave themselves at the funeral, due to the huge attendance that was expected.

He said the three health walks organised in his memory were well attended, and he anticipates a mass gathering at the funeral.

Meanwhile, Mr Archibald Nii Martei Armah of  Prince De Henry Educational Complex at Lartebiokoshie in Accra has promised to offer the son of the late Bahubali free education when he attains school-going age.

The popular school has produced boxers like Africanus Neequaye, Michael Abban,  Samuel Plange, and Prince The Buzz Larbie.

Bahubali lost his life a few days after clashing with former cruiserweight champion Jacob Dickson at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The people of Chorkor have also vowed to give their hero a fitting burial.
