Abu Kabore, a 43-year-old senior high school teacher, was found dead under a mango tree at Senasi in the Berekum East District of the Bono Region.
The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the teacher. The body was discovered in an advanced state of decomposition, and the cause of death is yet to be
determined.
According to the report, the deceased has a history of mental health challenges and experienced frequent episodes. He reportedly lived with an individual who supported and cared for him.
However, when the caregiver travelled, Abu left the house without informing anybody. A search was made, but efforts to locate him proved unsuccessful until his body was found near Senasi, near Nsoatre.
Reports indicate that before his death, Abu had visited a food vendor, consumed food he had begged for, and later sat under the mango tree where his body was found.
Due to the condition of the body, officials retrieved it promptly, while sanitation officers fumigated the area.
