Young rising stylish amateur boxing star, Ibrahim Doku aka Boosu, says he feels proud as a champion, and he is highly inspired to go higher and higher.
In an exclusive interview on The Big Fight on Omashi TV last Friday night, he said boxing will make him great, so he is now very serious and going all out.
He revealed that Joseph Commey, aka Jaguar, is his idol, while Richard Commey, the former IBF Lightweight Champion, is his uncle, so boxing is in his blood, and he is going to be a world champion in the future.
The student boxer sathe id government must support amateur boxers so that they will stay in the national team for a long time.
He thanked Coach Ebenezer Adjei for his encouragement and motivation because he nearly sacked him for missing training, and he had to prove and win.
He won the first bout at the 2026 Championship,p but it was not easy as he faced a very tough opponent. Subsequent fights at the quarter ansemi-finalsls were not easy before claiming the gold from the reigning champion.

“I really studied my opponent in the final,l and he just came rushing with big punches, but I took my time and released clean jabs to win. In fact, I thank my coach and training partner. Mathias Ashitey expressed his opinion on the plan we used.
Ibrahim Doku is a student at CABS, and he is studyingElectricals.
But he believes boxing is what will make him great and popular, so he is not resting until he hits the target.
The confident and fashionable boxer said that if he gets the chance, he will definitely make it.
“We believe in ourselves and my seniors, Mathias Ashitey and Ebenezer Ankrah from the Black Panthers Boxing Club, we promised our coach, Ebenezer Adjei, and fans, and we nailed it. We are grateful to our fans and thank God,” he said.
