
Maxwell Awuku 50-7-1 has promised to give boxing fans a good match to remember when he faces Alfred Lamptey on The Resurrection Fight Night.
The most experienced 42-year-old boxer on The Resurrection Fight Night bill said that many things had not gone well for him in his career because he has gone very far in the game.
He said that once he is still alive, a breakthrough may come, and he is ever ready.
Awuku, a southpaw, lost to Miguel Berchelt at the Grand Oasis Arena, Cancun,n in a bid to challenge for the WBC World Super Featherweight title.
Before, he had lost to Daud Yordan at the DBL Arena, Surabaya, for the WBO Africa Lightweight title.
He defeated Taofik Bisuga at the Prison’s Canteen, Accra, to win the WBO Africa Super Feather.
He had a good fight against Liam Walsh at the York Hall, Bethnal Green, for the Commonwealth Boxing Council Super Featherweight, but was declared a loser.
He started his professional career at the Metro TV Studio during the Mortin Series, fighting from the camp of Fit Squ.e.
If all goes well with him, he has a date on April 26, 20,26 against Vitaly Petryakov in USC Soviet Wings, Mosco23-year-oldold Alfred Lamptey is 15-1-0 and he is an aspiring champion from the stable of Black Panthers Gym. He once held the WBC Youth Silver Super Featherweight and WBO Youth Super Featherweight titles. He was also the West African Boxing Union Featherweight title holder.
Show Time, as he is known, defeated Emmanuel Otoo at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra, to win the Ghana National Super Featherweight belt.
His only loss was against Jaouad Belmehdi at Yas Links Golf Course, Abu Dhabi, but he has come back well to correct his mistakes. A date with Awuku will give him a lot as he tries to move up to meet the big boys.
The Laboma Beach Resort is the venue on April 5 to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
