Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) Enters New Chapter With Unveiling Of New Logo – President Dauda Fuseni

The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) on Thursday unveiled a new logo at the Media Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium.

All the executive board members were in attendance, as well as the finalists of the 2025 National Individual Amateur Boxing Championship.

Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, Director General of the National Sports Authority, graced the occasion, calling for more support for Amateur Boxing and grassroots sports development.

He commended the finalists and urged them to work hard for the ultimate.

“We need to unite and work hard. I love the logo. It’s fashionable and distinct. We can attract more people to love boxing.

We are looking forward to getting more boxing champions,” he said.

Nana Amponsh Adu-Gyamfi, Kyidomhene of Assin Achiase in the Assin South District Assembly, chaired the function, which was spiced by kpanlog songs from the Ghana Boxing Supporters Union (GHABSU).

Nana Adu-Gyamfi hailed the new executives for their vision in creating a new identity to showcase their service to Ghana Boxing.

Alhaji Shabaan Mohammed represented the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).

Dauda Fuseni, President of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF), said today marks a significant milestone in the history of Ghanaian boxing.

He stated that a logo is more than just a symbol. It represents identity, vision, values, and direction. It tells a story — the story of who we are, where we have come from, and where we are going.

“For decades, Ghana has been a proud boxing nation, producing remarkable talents and unforgettable moments on both continental and global stages. As the sport continues to evolve, it has become necessary for our Federation’s image to reflect a modern, dynamic, and forward-looking organization.

This new logo symbolizes renewal, strength, unity, and excellence. It reflects our commitment to professionalism, transparency, youth development, and international competitiveness. It embodies the fighting spirit of the Ghanaian boxer — disciplined, resilient, and fearless,” he stressed.

He emphasized that the unveiling of the logo is not merely a cosmetic change. It signals a new chapter — a renewed focus on grassroots development, improved governance, strategic partnerships, and preparation of our athletes for major international competitions.

“We believe this new identity will inspire our athletes, energize our stakeholders, and strengthen our brand both locally and internationally. It aligns with our broader vision of repositioning Ghanaian boxing to reclaim its rightful place among the world’s elite boxing nations,” he expressed.

Nana Sam Gyan of the Ghana Boxing Supporters Union urged companies to support the game and those who support the game.

The GHABSU is expected to entertain fans on Friday night at the Arena, likewise Tinny, Rap Father, and other musicians.
