
Dreams FC and Kpando Heart of Lions produced an exciting game that ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation time to run into penalties, which Dreams FC won to advance by 4–3 to book their place in the semi-finals.
Seedorf Asante gave Heart of Lions the lead in the 34th minute with a clinical strike. But Dreams FC’s persistence paid off when Suraj Seidu scored a dramatic equalizer in stoppage time (90+2), sending the contest into a penalty shootout.
Despite Heart of Lions’ narrow loss, their centre-back Ebenezer Abban won the Man of the Match for his commanding defensive display, timely tackles, and leadership at the back.
Dreams FC, who faced only lower-division teams on their road to the quarter-finals, have been in solid form in the competition. They opened their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Semper Fi in the Round of 64, followed by a 2-0 win against Asanska FC in the Round of 32. The Round of 16 saw them overcome Inter Allies FC 4-2 to secure their place among the last eight.
Dreams FC will face the winner of the quarter-final clash between Attram De Visser and Medeama SC.
The club made history when they won the FA Cup for the first time in the 2022/23 season, defeating King Faisal Babies 2-0, to represent Ghana in the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup.
Dreams FC set their sights on another shot at FA Cup glory, but they had to deal with Medeama in the semi-final, who were pushed to the wall by Attram de Visser before winning three-nil.
For the record, Dreams FC beat Heart of Lions 4–3 on penalties to book a place in the MTN FA Cup semi-finals. The match ended 1–1 after full time.
