Ace ring official Derrick Macaire was in Togo over the weekend to train officials in Muay Thai and MMA.
Some of the countries that participated are Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, and the Ivory Coast.
According to Derrick, the programme involved both theory and practical sessions.
He commended the participants for their cooperation during the sessions.
The program was organized by Pitbull gym in Lome in collaboration with the Muay Thai and the Sports Council in Togo. Started at 8 am and ended at 4 pm on Saturday. There were 4 sessions. The first 2 sessions were a theoretical class, the third was a practical class, and the fourth was based on evaluation. 20 participants attended this program from Burkina Faso, Benin, the Ivory Coast, and Togo.
Lead trainer Derrick Macaire from Ghanawasa, assisted by: Coulibaly Kouassi from the Ivory Coast.
Macaire is one of Africa’s best referees in Combat Sports such as Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and UFC. He appealed for more sponsorship in fight sports.
Ghana will be hosting the Global Warriors Championship on September 19 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Derrick Macaire is one of the top referees to officiate.
