
The venue was the DG Hathiramani Sports Hall at the Accra Sports Stadium, and the tournament, the third in the series of SHEROES Table Tennis Open, was organized by the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) for the nation’s top players.
After the exciting first edition, which was won by Augustina Baidoo of the Ghana Army, top star Cynthia Kwabi of the Ghana Immigration has taken up the challenge, and she is going all out.
She claimed the second edition on Valentine’s Day and has successfully defended her title.
This time, she went to the final with the young rising star Joanita Borteye.
The players who are thrilling table tennis fans every weekend and preparing for the World Championship are Cynthia Kwabi, Augustina Baidoo, Joanita Borteye, and Hilda Agbotah. They are no doubt the current best players in top form.
The Ghana Table Tennis Association is allowing them to be in tip-top condition for the World Championship and the Commonwealth Games.
Cynthia Kwabi told the media she wants to maintain her form for the international competitions and thanked the GTTA for the SHEROES tournament.
The Competition held on Saturday, February 21, at the DG Hathiramani Sports Hall was very interesting and tough; the best-prepared player won.
The GTTA is organizing the female series to give more players the chance to join the team that would represent Ghana at the World Championship in London.
