
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, old students of the 60’s and 70’s from Mamprobi Methodist Basic School have commissioned and presented a brand-new 12-unit toilet and bath block facility to the local basic school.
The facility is expected to significantly enhance sanitation and hygiene standards for pupils, thereby reducing the risk of waterborne diseases and improving community health. This will promote a healthier and more conducive learning environment.
According to reports, the school had been struggling with inadequate toilet facilities, leading to pupils often leaving the premises to use washrooms elsewhere.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by the Director- Accra Metro (Education) – Madam Justine Ivy Apawu, Rev. Minister for Nazareth Methodist Church – Rt. Rev. Amoah Gaisie, Madam Helena Brew. SISO Rep. Mamprobi Circuit, Madam Martha Brew- SISO Rep. Korle Gonno Circuit, Rep of the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South William Amenuvor, Mr. Samuel Adottey Gaskin, and some old students representing the 60’s and 70’s.
In a statement, the old students expressed their commitment to supporting education and community development initiatives.
