ECG Schedules Maintenance Works Across Six Regions from October 26 to 30

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has scheduled maintenance works in selected communities across six regions from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, 2026, as part of efforts to improve electricity supply and strengthen its distribution network.

The exercise will affect parts of Accra East, Accra West, Tema, the Central Region, the Volta Region and the Ashanti Region.

According to reports, the maintenance activities will involve upgrading electricity infrastructure, repairing underground cables and addressing technical faults within the distribution network.

The company says the works form part of its ongoing efforts to improve power supply reliability and reduce disruptions caused by faults in the electricity network.

However, consumers in the affected communities may experience temporary power interruptions while engineers carry out the necessary work.

The planned interruptions could affect households, shops, offices, and other businesses that depend on electricity for their daily activities.

Residents and business owners in the affected areas are therefore encouraged to make the necessary preparations and follow ECG’s official communication channels for information on the specific communities and times scheduled for the maintenance.

ECG’s maintenance exercise is expected to support efforts to improve the reliability of electricity distribution and provide better service to consumers.

Customers are advised to check the company’s official announcements for updates on their respective areas and the timing of any expected power interruptions
