Joy and excitement filled the premises of the Hon. MP’s office in Kasoa as Hon. Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, MP for Awutu Senya East, donated hundreds of student packages to newly admitted SHS students in her constituency.
Students, guardians and parents were happy to carry their packages home – each package contained a chopped box (donated by Hon. Naa Koryoo, Kasoa MP), mattress, pillow, bucket, provisions, exercise books and other school essentials.
This intervention by Hon. Naa Koryoo is to reduce the financial burden on parents and ensure that every child from Awutu Senya East gets a smooth and dignified entry into Senior High School.
Parents could not hide their joy as they praised her:
“Naa Koryoo is a mother indeed! She has come to support us when we needed it most. God bless her!” said a beneficiary.
Hon. Phillis Naa Koryoo has consistently shown that education is at the heart of her leadership. This donation is just one of the many ways she continues to invest in the future of our children. “Ayekoo to Hon. Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor – A true mother who cares for her constituents,” said the people in the constituency.
