The Osu Duku Football Festival is ongoing exclusively at the Osu Salem Park in Accra, and the thrilling encounters are pulling large crowds day by day.
After an exciting and explosive preliminary stage last week, the programme has reached the semi-finals stage and every team wants to grab the ultimate prize at stake.
Sadly, the hosts, Osu, are out of the male competition, so they have to fight hard to make a mark in the female category.
The organisers intentionally chose young players under 17 years old to compete to unearth talents for the future. And so far it has been worthwhile and very inspiring as the players are exhibiting raw talent and displaying skills and amazing energy.
For the next fixtures in the boys segment, Ga Mashie will take on Teshie on Monday, 3rd August, 2026, while Adabraka face La in a crucial game on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
For the female football, Ga Mashie will clash with Mayera, while Nima plays Osu.
Interestingly, only Ga Mashie won both male and female; their fans are also vociferous.
The third place match is scheduled for Friday, August 7, and the final is on Saturday, August 8, at the Osu (Salem) Presby Park.
Some distinguished persons have been invited to grace the final.
