13th African Games gold medalist Amadu Mohammed (55kg) and African Youth champion Desmond Pappoe (80kg) are strong contenders for the podium.
Ebenezer Ankrah (60kg), who represented Ghana at both the 2024 IBA World Youth Championships and the 2025 IBA World Men’s Boxing Championships, alongside promising prospect Precious Akai Nettey (70kg), Jibril Muntari (90kg), and Daniel Plange (+90kg), are in the squad.
The women’s challenge will be led by Police woman veteran Ramatu Quaye (51kg), Ghana Army boxer Nancy Banfo (54kg), and rising youngster Adelaide Djabatey (57kg).
The Technical staff, made up of Ben Tetteh, Daniel Lartekwei Lartey, and Charles Quartey, is headed by Dr. Ofori Asare.
The Black Bombers and Black Hitters made their first public appearance over the weekend since they moved to camp at Winneba at Gbese in Ga Mashie, where they met the Ga traditional priest Nuumo Akwaa Mensah, who offered prayers for their success and safety.
Friends of Boxing wish them success.
