
Ghana will be represented by two female judokas at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
According to Mr. Kenneth Arthur, President of the Ghana Judo Association, they have decided on two females, Frema Agyri and Elizebeth Serwaa Oduro, who are on Olympic Solidarity Scholarship.
He expressed that the Association has confidence that they are going to climb the podium.
He added that they were selected due to their international rankings.
Meanwhile, the President of the GOC/ CGA, Richard Akpokavie Esq, and the Chef de Mission (CDM) have accepted the names and hope they perform well in Glasgow. He advised the media to verify their news stories, as their doors are also open for clarification.
He said Team Ghana still welcomes support from corporate organisations and sports Philanthropists.
CDM for Glasgow 2026, Mr. Ernest Danso has also advised federations to unite in presenting their best athletes for international competitions.
