Boxing enthusiast DSP Ellis Kofi Attiope, aka Aristo, has paid a special visit to the Black Bombers who are in camp at Winneba preparing for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
According to the Ghana Police officer with a deep interest and affection for sports, especially boxing, he wants Ghana to win more gold medals at this year’s Games
“I trust my boys, and I know if we visit them and give them the needed motivation and inspiration, they will do their best for the nation,” he said.
DSP Attipoe who is a member of the Ghana Boxing fraternity and took part in courses organised by the Ghana Boxing Authority and Ghana Boxing Federation said the nation has very good dedicated and committed boxers but they are not motivated enough like how the Black Stars are treated.
He expressed that the national amateur boxers can be taken for a training trip outside Ghana to get them used to how Nigeria’s team came to Ghana.
“Anyway, I trust the boxers that they can deliver, and I have faith in the executive and management team of the Black Bombers,” he expressed.
The Black Bombers, who were selected after the National Individual Amateur Boxing Championship, are doing well under experienced coaches Dr. Ofori Asare, Charles Quartey, Coach America, and Lartekwei Lartey.
