
Daniel Wadieh, the Captain of the national Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) team, is in Angola to represent the Ghana Mixed Martial Arts Federation (GHAMMAF) at the 2026 All-African Mixed Martial Arts Championship organized by IMMAF.
According to Mr. Collins Zoiku, President of the GHAMMAF, he believes Daniel will excel by winning a medal.
He expressed that Daniel has prepared well and is ready to lift the flag of Ghana high.
Daniel Wadieh, who is based in the Netherlands, has previously represented Ghana at some international competitions and did very well.
He said Ghanaians are very talented and capable of doing great things. He noted that the future is key and bright, as many youth can be taught to become champions.
Daniel is handled by coaches Frans Djimtche, who is assisted by Emirhan Bulduk. They are both from the Netherlands, where Daniel is based.
Collins Zoiku said there must be possible ways of supporting MMA well like football and athletics.
He said MMA, like other sports, has a great future and many people love it.
He noted that there are many other Ghanaian foreign-based MMA athletes in Europe and America who can join the national team of Ghana.
Collins Zoiku wished Daniel all the best and urged Ghanaian sports fans to pray for him.
